Teaching staff can contribute to the prevention of bullying by creating classroom environments that are safe and supportive and by modelling appropriate behaviour and respectful relationships. Teaching practices designed to counter and prevent bullying are amongst the most effective tools available in our schools.

These teaching resources include practical classroom strategies across a range of topics. The focus is on techniques that make it difficult for bullying behaviours to gain traction within the classroom and the schoolyard. They are not add-ons but ways of working that will help to nurture a mindset that encourages positive relationships to flourish.

The resources have been developed by Real Schools in consultation with the Department of Education.
